New Census Data Release Dec. 9, 2008
For the past several years the Census Bureau has released data products from the American Community Survey (ACS) in the form of 1-year estimates. These estimates were based on data collected in a single calendar year and describe the average characteristics for that specific year. The Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS) released its first multiyear estimates based on ACS data collected from 2005 through 2007 today. These three-year estimates will be available for geographic areas with a population of 20,000 or more, including the nation, all states and the District of Columbia, all congressional districts, approximately 1,800 counties, and 900 metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas, among others.
